The heavens declare the

glory of God

and the sky above proclaims

his handiwork.

Psalm 19:1

Advent

The word, “advent,” simply means coming, and so we celebrate the season of advent to remember the fact that the Lord Jesus has already come once and was born into history and into humanity, fully God and fully man.  We celebrate and remember his coming because it was in His incarnation, the Word of God made flesh, that He made the proper atonement for our sins and made it possible for man to be reconciled to God.  Advent, therefore, serves as a healthy reminder of the salvific work of Jesus Christ in His first coming and enables us to become better prepared for His second coming, when He will come again in great power and glory to judge the earth
and to claim what is rightfully His.
Here at First Alliance Church, we believe that we are to be constant in prayer, expecting our God to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think.  Let us know how we can be praying for you or someone you know by filling out this prayer request form.
Jesus came to this earth to serve us, and now He sends us out to serve Him and others with the variety of gifts that He has given to His people through His varied grace.  Sign-up here to find your place in Jesus' service.
Throughout the New Testament, the Church is described using several metaphors.  One of the most powerful is that of a family with God as our Heavenly Father.  As a family, we want to be intentional about spending time together and co-laboring for the sake of the Gospel. So, make sure to view our church calendar to stay connected and up to date on all of our different ministries and events.
